~Romans 6:23 – For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ, our Lord.

The cost of sin is death. There is absolutely no way around it. There is nothing we can physically do to earn enough good in our life to pay off the cost of our sins. You may say “ok I sinned I’ll just be extra good tomorrow, or next week, or even give your life to being good for the next year. I’ll do more. I’ll serve more. I’ll do anything in my physical strength to get this sin cleared from my record.” But the reality of this is we can’t pay off our debt, our sin is too far great of a cost. That’s why God gave us a gift, a gift is free, we didn’t earn it. Our gift is accepting his son that died on a cross, his sacrifice that pardoned our sins so we could obtain eternal life. The only method of paying our wages of sin is accepting Christ’s ultimate sacrifice believing in his crucifixion for he was nailed to a wooden cross with pierced hands and feet and a crown of thorns bearing our sins and dying for all of the worlds sin. AND also believing in the ressurection as he rose again and conquered death for all to live,we have to believe every part of the sacrifice of the Son, that is God’s gift.

“At one time we too were foolish, disobedient, deceived and enslaved by all kinds of passions and pleasures. We lived in malice and envy, being hated and hating one another. But when the kindness and love of God our Savior appeared, he saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit, whom he poured out on us generously through Jesus Christ our Savior, so that, having been justified by his grace, we might become heirs having the hope of eternal life. This is a trustworthy saying. And I want you to stress these things, so that those who have trusted in God may be careful to devote themselves to doing what is good. These things are excellent and profitable for everyone.” Titus 3:3-8
