Christ Living

In case you didnt know theres a difference between “living a christian life” and Christ Living through you and leading you.

“I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.” Galatians.2:20

What does “living the christian life” look like? Well many of us see it all the time, some of us use to do it, and some still do it.

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST TO LIVE CHRISTIAN?

Ummm About $20 thats enough to buy a t-shirt, wrist band, and a bible. So many want what Christ has to offer but are not willing to step up to the plate and lay down a sacrifice.”deny himself, and take up his cross DAILY and follow me”

“23 Then he said to them all: “If anyone would come after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me.24 For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for me will save it.25 What good is it for a man to gain the whole world, and yet lose or forfeit his very self?26 If anyone is ashamed of me and my words, the Son of Man will be ashamed of him when he comes in his glory and in the glory of the Father and of the holy angels.” Luke 9:23-26

Being a Christian isn’t a homerun every at bat lifestyle. But every season with Christ living through us is a winning season. Have you stepped to the plate or are you just sittin the bench wearing the uniform?

There are three groups of people around Jesus I have noticed: the Pharisees, the crowd, and the disciples. One of these groups experienced Jesus in every way. They were with Him constantly. The other groups missed Jesus because their expectations of Jesus instead of Jesus himself became the goal. The Pharisees could not hear or experience Jesus because their goal was to “catch” him in wrong words and silence him (Luke 11:53-54). The crowds became so excited about Jesus miracles that they intended to force Him to be king (John 6:15). In both cases, Jesus had to leave these groups because their expectations were not in line with His purpose.

Sometimes we will see a powerful move of God; Sometimes we will not understand what He is doing. Either way just follow!

Does your expectations keep you from experiencing Jesus? Which group do you fall in?

Online with Purpose

Do you realize the impact you can have online? I am not talking about the number of followers or friends you have. I am talking about the ability to point someone to a life of hope through Jesus. I have been working online for a few years now and I have seen a common thread through all the amazing stories of life-change. They were inspired to seek God by a Twitter message, a Facebook link, a video, or a blog post.

Do you realize that there are many on the internet right now who can relate to your story but have not found hope in Jesus? Your online presence could be the difference. Your twitter message could start what God wants to do in their life. Your Facebook post could touch the heart of someone who can relate. Don’t underestimate what God has done in you and what He can do through you in your online spaces. Don’t be someone you are not but be fully who God has made you. Use the tools God has given you. Sometimes it could be as simple as inviting people to an event through facebook or even reposting a devo. You have the tools.

What are you doing in your digital mission field?
